Henry Kissinger has been an integral figure in U.S. foreign policy for decades. He is a German-born American. He served as Secretary of State in the Nixon administration and maintained powerful positions under the Ford and Reagan Administrations. He has also served as an unofficial political advisor for both Presidents Bush (H and W).
In 1994 Kissinger was quoted as saying: "The New World Order cannot happen without U.S. participation, as we are the most significant single component. Yes, there will be a New World Order, and it will force the United States to change its perceptions." (1994 World Affairs Council Press Conference)
